A quick overview of graylisting and how its applied as an anti-spam technique.

The mechanism known as "graylisting" consists in refusing a connection in the same moment that it is established. This way, it's expected that the connection opens again, which is a common characteristic of e-mail servers.

“Graylisting” is only an auxiliary mechanism against spam and its efficiency alone is extremely low and questionable.
